View this post on Instagram Here’s how I do my column wraps -1st find the circumference of the steel column (usually between 3”-4”) -2nd drill out that measurement on a 2×6 with a hole saw bit, then cut it in half so you can get it around the column -3rd tapcon fasten the bottom plates to the concrete slab -4th PL premium the ishhh out of…everything -5th Put your 1x on either side and fasten -6th Make your columns, I went with 1/2” cabinet grade plywood on these. Make two sides so all you’ll have to do is glue up two seams rather than four -7th Cut the columns to size then PL the back of the plywood.
